Tehran (ICRC) – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has delivered over

5700 kilograms of medical supplies to the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) following to the recent escalation between Iran and Israel in June 2025.

Vincent Cassard, Head of the ICRC Delegation in Iran said, “In line with its mandate, and to help replenish IRCS’s first aid stocks used during the recent escalation, the ICRC has delivered a consignment of medical materials as the first phase of its support for the IRCS”. He confirmed that more shipments  will be delivered to the IRCS soon.

“From the onset of the escalation, we were in touch with the IRCS as our main partner in Iran and offered our assistance”, said Cassard.

Praising the IRCS’s humanitarian response during the recent hostilities, Cassard said: “Despite the challenging conditions, thousands of IRCS staff and volunteers remained on the ground, supporting affected communities with dedication and courage.”

The ICRC is a neutral, impartial, and independent organization with a mission to protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. In Iran, the ICRC works closely with the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) as its primary Movement partner.
