158 years ago, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement was born, with an aim to help people who are suffering from armed conflicts and are affected by the natural disasters. Ever since, the movement has been helping people all over the world, in an impartial, neutral and independent manner.

8th of May, is the birthday of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which is the largest global humanitarian network of 80 million people that helps those facing disaster, conflict and health and social problems. The Movement consists of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the 191 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
