A Restoring Family Links(RFL) workshop was held in Fars Province from June 29-July 1, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
The workshop was attended by 17 family tracing focal points from different cities in Fars Province and aimed to improve their knowledge, skills, and preparedness in the field of reunification of family members separated during migration, natural disasters, armed conflicts, and other crises.
The participants were introduced to various topics, including information collection methods, how to restore contact between family members, and ethical principles in following up on the status of families, as well as the international standards for supporting affected families.
This course was part of a long-term plan for all provinces, started last year in East Azerbaijan Province will soon continue in other provinces.
